Book Review: Is This Autism? by Donna Henderson, Sarah Wayland, and Jamell White (2023).

A few weeks ago, I stated that I didn't have a favorite, go-to book on autism that I routinely recommended. Well now I do! Is This Autism? by Donna Henderson, Sarah Wayland, and Jamell White is a great book that reviews the traits of autism and focuses on what more female, aka non-stereotypical autism looks like. It also reviews common co-occurring challenges, and autistic strengths. It reminded me of my Autism 101 training, where I spend the first hour reviewing how I have seen autism traits present over the years. This book does that, but in much more depth. As I said, I will be routinely recommending this book going forward and am looking forward to reading the companion book, Is this Autism? A Companion Guide for Diagnosing.
